Corridos

Based on the original musical play by Luis Valdez, “Corridos! Tales of the Mexican Revolution” brings to life the heroes and heroines, history and mythology of the Mexican Revolution 1910-1920.

Corridos, or ballads, are musical, humorous, and dramatic-story telling vignettes based on a centuries-old popular Mexican folk tradition.

This new production of “Corridos!” aims to use this musical theater form unique to El Teatro Campesino to commemorate and explore the centennial of the first major revolution of the twentieth century.
